HOW IT GOT STARTED
My name is Chibuzo Ikonte, and I am a second-year MBA candidate at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, with a focus on Marketing and Managing Organizations. This summer, I interned at Nike on their APLA Consumer Strategy team, and after graduation, I will return as a Lead Strategic Planning Manager. (The views on this website represent Chibuzo Ikonte. They do not represent Nike.)
Prior to Kellogg, I worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, and I hold degrees in Economics and Statistics from Northwestern University. My diverse experience in strategy and analytics, combined with my passion for sports, drives my approach to basketball analysis.
This website is a platform where I apply my strategic thinking, analytical skills, and storytelling capabilities to explore my favorite topics in basketball.
Growing up as a top-tier high school basketball player in Southern California, my career took a sudden turn when I collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. Surviving that experience deepened my passion for the game and shaped my ability to overcome adversity. Whether through playing or analyzing the sport, basketball remains a core part of my life and motivates me to share my insights with others.
